The event provides an opportunity for business people to experience a professional standard of golf event, while interacting with stars of sport, media and entertainment.
Wentworth has played an important part in British golf history. In 1926, the Club hosted the fore-runner to the Ryder Cup; the inaugural Curtis Cup in 1932 and the Canada Cup in 1956 drew over 30,000 spectators, an unprecedented figure for those times. More recently the West course has become familiar to millions of television viewers worldwide through the annual PGA, Senior Masters and World Match Play Championships.
